Premiere: Satin Sheets Shares Chilled Out Tune 'Tanline'
Auckland producer Satin Sheets has dropped a brand new track titled 'Tanline' from his latest record St. Francis. The album was originally released last year under Pogson's previous moniker Sprite1999 and is now available on freshly minted vinyl via influential US label 100% Electronica, with a clutch of unreleased bonus tracks including 'Tanline'. The hypnotic new tune bobs and sways in the breeze while cascading synth melodies gently massage listeners' eardrums. Pogson likes to keep busy, he contributes to local net-label IGG (who released an excellent collection from Rainy Weather), and will be heading overseas for shows alongside electronic artists Negative Gemini and George Clanton in February. We caught up with Satin Sheets ahead of his travels, check out his comments below and listen to 'Tanline'...
"'Tanline' stands as one of four bonus tracks to accompany 'St. Francis' in its vinyl form. It has the early Satin Sheets sound and so it was a no-brainer to have it on there. I no longer have the synths I used for this track so it is a little more dear to me."
'St. Francis' is now available on vinyl via 100% Electronica.
