US multi-instrumentalist Ty Segall has dropped a jagged new song titled ‘The Main Pretender’, the latest in a seemingly non-stop run of single releases. For this new cut Segall ramps up the fuzz and allows saxophonist Mikal Cronin to bust loose with a squalling sax solo, the tune balances on the knife edge of order and chaos, held together by an infectious glam rock T Rex-style chorus.
