Scarp Share Dreamy Debut EP 'Like A Dog'
Trans-Tasman shoegaze band Scarp have dropped their debut EP Like A Dog. The release is four tracks of heartfelt, self-described “dreamo”, a mix between dream pop and emo, which was recorded at Deep End Audio by Fluffy.
The group's vocalist/bass player Pia Crawford resides in Sydney, Australia, with the other three members living in Auckland. While some bands would find this arrangement a hindrance, Scarp has used it to spring board their music to a wider audience, having secured a support slot for the Adelaide appearance of Manchester-based ‘anti-folk’ favourites Crywank. Check out Like A Dog below…
If you’re in Australia you can catch Scarp opening for Crywank at the Crown and Anchor in Adelaide on Saturday 25th November. The band have also promised a Sydney date on the same weekend, check their social media for more details.
