Stream The New EP 'V' By Wellington Hardcore Crew Starving Millions
Wellington punk quartet Starving Millions are no slouches, in either the pace of their breakneck tunes or in the frequency of their releases. The newest EP V is, as the title suggests, the fifth offering from the group which is all the more impressive when you consider their first opus was beset upon the world in 2013, making for a total of one release per year - not including a split with Fielding-based crew Churlington and a live EP from the capital city’s alternative and heavy music mecca Valhalla.
V was engineered by drummer and vocalist Dave McDonald and was recorded at his house as well as in the group’s practice room at Toi Poneke Arts Centre. Stylistically, Starving Millions have branched into furious post-hardcore territory à la Converge with opening cut ‘These Times Pt I’, while maintaining their blistering speed on tunes such as ‘Us and Them’.
