Montell2099 x 21 Savage Share Fly New Tune 'Hunnid On The Drop'

After being announced on the first wave of artists for Northern Bass festival alongside the likes of Stormzy, Salmonella Dub, Post Malone, Kamandi, local producer Montell2099 has dropped a ethereal tune in collaboration with Atlanta-based rapper 21 Savage. The tune was produced in Los Angeles for Red Bull Sound Select. In a statement, Montell2099 spoke of his experience making the track with the reputable rapper...

"I was approached by Red Bull Sound Select in New Zealand with the idea of a collaboration. I made a list of artists I would like to work with, and 21 Savage was one of the artists. When Red Bull told me he was keen, I went on a beat making spree! Within a couple days I had at least 20 ideas made for him. He chose the 3rd beat I played for him and did his thing in the booth. Within a couple hours the track was done.  This is my first proper single as an artist so for it to be a collaboration with 21 Savage is so dope. I hope this inspires and motivates young kids from NZ to do what they love and follow their dreams."
