Berlin-Based Outfit Glass Vaults Share New Single 'Bleached Blonde'
Wellington-born outfit Glass Vaults have recently taken up residence in Berlin, from where they are preparing to release their second studio album The New Happy in a few week's time. Having released lead single 'Brooklyn' last month, the psych-pop group are now rolling out the melodic percussive-driven tune 'Bleached Blonde'. Elaborating on the album's overall vibe, the group said in a statement:
"Sonically this album is mixed to seduce. Taking aural cues from the euphoric sensations associated with Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response. A.S.M.R otherwise known as a “Brain Orgasm” is a sonically triggered euphoric experience characterised by a static like tingling feeling of the scalp which travels down the neck and spine. The tight room reverbs, auto panning of low mids and increasing transients at 3k - 5k found throughout this record look not to emulate a sexual high, but a deeper, euphoric wave, that washes over the body in feelings of comfort and security… a new kind of happy."
The New Happy is out 12th May via UK-based label Melodic Records, in the meantime soak this up...
