Listen: Fat White Family - Connan Mockasin

South London outfit Fat White Family have paid homage to our very own Connan Mockasin with a song on their new 7-inch. The track comes as the B-Side to the raucous 'Breaking Into Aldi' which the five-piece unveiled last month. Speaking to Beat's 1 host Matt Wilkinson, frontman Lias Saoudi said he wrote the track awhile ago after a run in with Mockasin at SXSW:

"I think we were backstage and we'd all taken it a bit too far and we had a show midday and I was sick everywhere. Connan came in gleaming white drinking green tea and I felt like I genuinely wanted to be in that band not my band at that point. Right there and then I really wanted to be in his band instead of mine. It pretty much does what it says on the tin".
