PRESS RELEASE:
Plastic will bring the Nightmares EP to New Zealand for the first time in August 2016, with shows in Wellington and Auckland.
Nightmares is the debut release from noise-pop outfit, Plastic. Recorded over three days at an Avery in Abbotsford, Melbourne, the EP is the five piece’s first foray into a recorded output. Beginning with intimate Nothing At All and ending on the expansive Nightmares, the EP is both near and far, close and distant. The four tracks feature impeccable dreamy production in an enveloping wall of sound.
This wasn’t their first time working together however. The band had been playing for over a year in one form or another, with former members of New Zealand’s Five Mile Town now working with an added influence. Lewis of The Cactus Channel and Frida, dark soul/pop products of Melbourne’s VCA community, brought another layer of depth to Plastic’s already widening sound. It was now a three board gig.
