Suckdog Heading To New Zealand For Two Shows
American underground noise-punk act Suckdog are making their debut appearance on New Zealand soil next month. Formed in the late 80s with Lisa Carver at its core, the Suckdog Circus toured the States taking their chaotic mix of music, wrestling, rock opera and audience agitation around the continent. The upcoming tour will see Carver joined by the Kuzak Sisters as well as her 14-year-old daughter, Sadie. The shows will also be supported by Australian sound project Terminal Infant, and as an extra bonus for Wellington audiences, Hex will be performing their very own mini-rock opera. More details below...

PRESS RELEASE:
DERO ARCADE PRESENTS:
FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER IN AUSTRALIA & NEW ZEALAND COMES LEGENDARY PUNK/NOISE "BAND" SUCKDOG - THE PERFORMATIVE/MUSICAL OUTLET OF GENIUS ARTIST, WRITER AND MUSICIAN LISA "SUCKDOG" CARVER. JOINING LISA ON THIS TOUR WILL BE THE LEGENDARY KUZAK SISTERS, MADDIE AND GENEVIEVE, AND LISA'S 14 YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER SADIE.
TO CO-INCIDE WITH THIS TOUR DERO ARCADE ARE RE-ISSUING THE LONG-LOST 1990 CLASSIC "DRUGS ARE NICE" LP ON 12" VINYL.
ALSO WELL KNOWN FOR HER BOOKS & 90'S ZINE "ROLLERDERBY", CARVER IS A BONA FIDE VOICE OF A GENERATION, AN UNDERGROUND HERO WHO HAS BEEN DESCRIBED AS EVERYTHING FROM "FEMINIST ICON" TO "THE FEMALE GG ALLIN" (PROBABLY DUE TO HER WILD PERFORMANCES, AND BECAUSE THE TWO HAD A TUMULTUOUS ROMANTIC/SEXUAL RELATIONSHIP, BUT PERSONALLY I DON'T THINK THE COMPARISON DOES HER JUSTICE - SHE HAS ALL THE SUBSTANCE THAT GG LACKED & THEN SOME!!!). COME AND FIND OUT FOR YOURSELF AND WITNESS WHAT SOME WOULD DESCRIBE AS "EXPERIMENTAL PUNK NOISE" AND OTHERS AS "A GORE OPERA".
