Dunedin alt-pop bands Soaked Oats and Marlin's Dreaming are having a joint release party at Blue Smoke this November.
Dunedin four-piece Soaked Oats describe their sound as 'shoulder pop', and while we're not exactly sure what that means, their certainly serving up some sonic goodness. They write songs with thoughtful lyricism and guitar-driven indie-pop sounds.
Over the cooler months, the band have hunkered down – writing and recording new material, as well as playing a plethora of shows including opening slots for touring acts Tiny Ruins, Clap Clap Riot, and Ha The Unclear.
Soaked Oats are excited to perform new songs off ‘No Slip Ups’ as well as songs from their first EP ‘Stone Fruit Melodies’
Marlin's Dreaming have just released their debut single ‘Cheeky Kids’. It has gained some great traction peaking at number 5 on the NZ VIRAL Charts on Spotify as well as appearing on over 20 international magazines/blogs
