This is going to be an incredible series of shows, and you would be crazy to miss out on this! Please come and support an amazing musician! Oh, did I mention Dan’s backing band will be made up of Stefan Neville (Pumice) and John Douglas (Leather Towel, Knife Fight). YOWZA!

The prolific and eclectic Dan Melchior first made a name for himself on the same Medway music scene that produced Billy Childish and Holly Golightly (and collaborated with both), but he's since gone on to carve out a more unique identity with his own take on lo-fi pop released on labels such as In the Red, Siltbreeze, Castleface and more.
His music has evolved significantly, to become a distant entity from some of his earlier blues-based work, showing a definite influence of more experimental bands such as The Homosexuals and The Fall, and some absurdist elements which have led to comparisons to compatriot exponents of that genre, Vivian Stanshall and Syd Barrett

Kraus makes music for freaks, outsiders, losers and weirdos and has been called ‘a national treasure’ and ‘one of the most quietly important and interesting people making music in New Zealand’ and if you have seen him play you will be in absolute agreement with this.
