Auckland sibling Rockers The Neo-Kalashnikovs are heading out to rock the South Island with rock 'n' roll veterans The Southies. Local support will be supplied by Sunshine Hotel in Port Chalmers, Dunedin and Born Broken in Lyttelton, Christchurch. If you are a fan of grunge, indie or alternative rock this is a show for you and best of all its entirely free. The Neo-Kalashnikovs main musical influences are PJ Harvey, The Pixies, Nirvana, The Black Keys. The Neos favourite kiwi artists are I Am Giant, Six60, Kora, Lorde, Shapeshifter and Devilskin. The bands first headlining tour is to promote their debut rock album Turn the Tables.
The album includes their first regional radio hit Diamonds, commercial 6 month national rock hit Turn the Tables and viral U.K sensation Gorgeous Baby which amassed over 1 million views in 24 hours online.
