The now Auckland-based group Brown are building up to the release of their album ‘Bacterium, Look at Your Motor Go,’ with a New Zealand tour during the month of May.
The four-piece are set to beguile audiences with their skewed, catchy arrangements, unaffected accents and off-kilter pop tunes. Michael Cathro is joined by bassist Paul Cathro, drummer Ben Sargeant and guitarist Theo Francis. Left only with “the stains of ritual, a taste for communion wine and an existential crisis” from catholic education, Brown's unique perspective makes for an engaging encounter.
